Most of the Asian , African & South American countries are in a grip of continuous migration by their men seeking work in USA , Canada , Australia , Europe and other rich Countries. But the procedure for getting jobs in these country is very complex, lengthy and expensive . So the unemployed youth are using dangerous route by crossing illegally the international borders with the help of travel agents , mafia and their syndicates.

Qualified migration – slow process

The educated and highly skilled individuals have a good chance to get a Work Visa / Permit if they are mentally prepared enough to go though tough Visa formalities at different Embassies. Getting job offer letter, high cost for Visa submission and long waiting for Visa interview in the respective Embassies take months but majority fail in the Visa interview , shattering their dreams . Those who are successful in the Work VISA interview  , after travelling to the said country go through very difficult time to establish themselves , get work permit and get temporary residency. To be eligible to get second country passport one take 5-10 Years , and those who get it are treated as respectful NRI.

There are another set of people who attempt to enter the foreign countries as a tourist with an intention of never-to-return agenda and stay back as an illegal migrants, but mostly they are denied tourist Visa too. Officers taking interview in the Embassies are very intelligent, they can read the face of genuine tourist.

Donki route is very expensive

The balance lot are left with no options than illegally crossing the international borders travelling via sea, jungle , rivers , snow clad mountains and jumping border fences . This the most dangerous option adopted by hundreds of peoples who fall pray in to international human trafficker syndicate. These men pay in millions to touts, agents and smuggling syndicate for illegal entry to their favorite country. Only few are successful to reach the destinations, rest are captured, jailed, shot by border police or deported. There is no guarantee given by the agents or syndicate for this dangerous act of illegal entry.

Risky illegal border Crossing

DONKI is a term used to define illegal border crossing group. Agents of various countries charging millions of Rupees work with mafia and criminal group worldwide in Europe and in south American countries , who facilitate the journey from a Asian country for illegal travelling arrangement to final destination in USA , Europe , Canada & Australia . The journey are done in group on foot over mountains and through jungles which takes between one to three months and the group is controlled by a mafia member called DONKER during journey.

How DONKI system work in India/Pakistan/Bangladesh/Nepal/Srilanka for men who want to enter USA illegally . Group of people pay 20-30 Millions Rupees to the agents who are part of nexus of international refugee syndicate . They are told to travel by air using different route to Ecuador in south America , from here  eight country high risk on land journey start in groups . The group ( usually 30 to 50 ) is controlled by a syndicate member called DONKER . They travel through eight countries from Ecuador -Colombia – Panama -Costa Rica-Nicaragua – Honduras – Guatemala –   Mexico and finally crossing the 25 feet tall steel fence at USA border crossing . As the group cross border of each country , the proportion of fees is paid to the agent back home.

Dangerous DONKI route to USA

DONKER’s leader changes from one country to another country during the journey are dangerous and criminal men with weapons. Group are told to travel in night , hiding in the trucks , walking on foot for 7-10 days in dense jungles , crossing rivers , mountain hiking , sleeping in open in Jungle  with little to eat and lack of drinking water . They also have to face armed robbers during their journey who loot their belonging and cash .  Many member of the group get sick during this journey , other could not cross the river or mountains and die before reaching Mexico – USA Border .The lucky one who reach USA border have to climb 25 feet tall steel fence with barbed wire on both side and armed border police of Mexico and USA ready to shoot. 10,000 south Asian men walk through Panama jungle in year 2021 , only 3,000 men reached the Mexico-USA border fence to jump and only few hundred entered USA unnoticed .Those who are caught by Mexico army are arrested and deported back.

One who are lucky to cross the high USA Fence are arrested by Border Police of USA, it will take them years to convert their status from Refugee to be eligible to work in USA and to get work permit . But they are very few who could cross the fence and enter USA unnoticed by USA border Police. Those men might be earning good money working illegally in USA but will never be able to travel back to their home countries to meet their parents and family members. The situation are similar who attempt to enter Europe illegally risking their life.

I #ESKmehta am of the firm opinion that by choosing DONKER route to earn more money is an insane act done by the youths, it should be discouraged by the parents in first go. Most of the men end up in jail . DONKI travelers are financed by their parents who take heavy loans by selling their properties which make them bankrupt , and wait for years for their sons to visit back to meet them . There have been instances that few DONKI boys took 10-18 years to travel to his country to meet their parents as they had no document to travel back.
