Bed tea is a dream for Bachelors
Do any body serve you Bed tea in Dubai ? Taking my pet for a morning walk brings lot of stories to me, few are worth telling . Here is one . The area I do walk around in the morning is full of peoples with different mood , walking fast on the road to nearby Metro Station to reach their office in time. During my morning walk with my pet ( Robby) I pass by a cafeteria which is famous for tea and is open 24 hours. There are series of benches on the footpath adjoining the cafeteria where people sit and drink tea .
Cafeteria is a second home to the Bachelors
I noticed one tall guys every day sat there smartly dressed for office with matching shining shoes and an office bag. Ready to go to office , sitting on the bench head down , quite , lonely , thinking and sipping the tea in a disposable cup. I noticed him sweating due to hot weather but he buy his morning tea from the cafeteria , sit in on the road side bench and take tea is his daily routine. After finishing his tea he goes walking swiftly to the nearby Metro Station to reach his office. One question comes to my mind , why can’t have his morning cup of tea at his room ?
‘Hemant’ work hard to feed his family
Many time I thought of talking to him but today I did it . He is HEMANT, working in a Logistic company in Dubai . He lives nearby in a sharing accommodation where he did not have a proper arrangement of a Kitchen , so he buy his morning tea from the cafeteria every day. Married with family back home and has been working in Dubai since 5 Years with mediocre salary. This in general is the life of most of the Bachelors in Dubai.
70% of Dubai population are men
Dubai has 3.2million expatriates , and aprox 1/4th of them as a bachelors are having same life in the city as of Hemant , the guy I met . Most of the bachelors do not have cooking facility in their shared accommodation , they do eat all three meals in the cafeteria / Restaurant including morning tea. Bachelor labours working in construction and production sector either they have Company run food canteen for all three meals of the day , or Company provides them Kitchen area for them to cook themselves . It is tough for such men to cook their meals after 10-12 hours of tough tiring duty in harsh climate, but still they cook for themselves every day.
Life is tough in middle east
Life of men doing Blue collar jobs is tough in middle east , many of them start their day by having morning tea at a nearby cafeteria. These men do lot of sacrifice by staying away from their family , alone and lonely just for survival.
