Malayalee are dominating the service, store, restaurant business or offices in middle east countries of Oman , UAE , Kuwait , Bahrin , Iraq , Saudi and Qatar. Out of total Keralite working outside India, 90% are working in middle east. They are the bread winner of Govt of Kerala.

Kerala is the most beautiful state in India is also called as ‘’ God’s own country ‘’. Indian Population is 1,300 Million. Kerala have a population of 36 Million ( 3% to total Indian population ). In which Keralite contribution is $17.0 Billion ( ie 19% of Total remittance from middle east) . Punjabis only send 2% of remittance annually to India from middle east (ie $1.5 Billion). On average every Keralite send Rs25,000/= per month back home to India. The Economy of Kerala state heavily depend upon remittance sent by Malayalee from middle east.

Malayalee are also known to be fond of constructing palatial homes in India from their NRI earnings. The construction plan to have their own house start from the day they land in middle east . Few have invested in their homes beyond their capacity . Most of their constructed house are independent building with a beautiful pitched roof in a picturised locations surrounded by greens , Banana tree , coconut trees and a water well in the courtyard. Their constructed houses gives very close to the nature feeling. Kerala has no slum area. More than 10% of constructed house of Keralite NRI are lying vacant because the owner is working and staying in middle east .

Few Keralites have excelled in big business of Hyper Market , health care and money exchange business in middle east . They are super rich. eg Lulu group which have 200 outlet in middle east with a global turnover of $8.0 billion by employing 50,000 employee is a prime example of hard working NRI Keralite business men. There are many another big houses like Gems School , Aster health care , Malabar Gold , Sobha Construction , PR group and Joyalukkas group who are also owned by Keralite super rich business men.
Kerala – Crown of South Indian
Malayalee are known for the festival celebration of Onam and other cultural events like snake boat race, Elephant Pooram festival and many more. Kerala is a gem of Indian state having lush green surrounding, rivers, back water and Scenic hills. Kerala is a biggest international tourist attraction. I have worked and interacted with 10s of Keralite colleagues during my job or otherwise, they are the best whatever the do. Keralites are truly the men from ‘’God’s Own Country’’.
